It is perfectly normal to worry about university when you hear about graduates struggling to find a job, companies focusing more on work experiences, the accumulating student loans and the list goes on and on.
As a matter of fact, joining a university is a choice that comes with much pressure. While not all careers require a degree qualification, although it is hard work, here are some reasons why I chose to pursue a degree:
- Statistically speaking, graduates earn more as compared to non-graduates
- University improves your network and opportunities.
- Getting a degree is helps you grow holistically - as I get to meet students from different countries and backgrounds, engaging with people from different walks of life, learning soft skills and so on.
Without doubt, I can affirm that pursuing a degree helped me broaden my horizons and change my outlook in life.
